Well you should be because this bitch is 2 percent AMERICAN PIT BULL.

Yes we did the ultimate white people thing and got our dog’s DNA tested. I know that dog DNA tests are mostly bullshit (hilariously, this lady in Massachusetts came back as 28% bulldog, which, if you’ve ever met a woman from Mass …. but that’s another story) but what the hell, it wasn’t that expensive and seemed like a hoot. (I should note that this was largely the doing of me and my daughter and my wife was staunchly against the enterprise from the beginning.)

So take a look at her. She’s definitely mostly chihuahua, like the test says, but I don’t see the poodle and I suspect she’s 15 percent some kind of terrier, like rat or Jack Russell.

The crazy thing is they got a lot right about her physical appearance without ever seeing her, like accurately stating her color, which they described as “fawn,” and that sounds a lot classier than “tan,” the presence of white markings, eye color, and a black nose. I don’t know how much about breed they can tell from DNA but they can oviously tell some shit! Anyway, I am henceforth describing my dog as a “Pit Bull/Doberman/German shepherd mix” even as she cowers at a passing dachsund.

I think people in SF - even progressives - look around and read Nextdor and see a lot of problems and just want to DO SOMETHING so even dumb shit like the drug-testing thing is gonna votes. The solution is to put smart shit on the ballot instead of dumb shit, not wail that San Francisco is now West Coast Texas or whatever.
